Specialist Works
Jet grouting is a specialized ground improvement technique used to strengthen soil conditions in areas with difficult geotechnical profiles. The process involves injecting a high-pressure cementitious mixture into the ground to create stabilized soil-cement columns with increased bearing capacity.
For the Sri Hartamas Sewage Plant Redevelopment project, jet grouting activities include:
Setting out and positioning of drilling rigs.
Initial drilling to the specified design depth.
High-pressure injection of grout to form stabilised columns within the soil.
Continuous quality control to ensure column diameter, strength, and alignment meet design specifications.
Final trimming of column heads and site preparation for the next stage of structural works.
This method provides essential soil stabilisation and ensures that critical structural zones are adequately supported before heavier construction activities proceed.
